About Us

Our organization was started in 1975 as a means where Travel Agents could meet to network, learn about new travel programs, and hold educational meetings regularly. This fine organization has grown since it's inception and  continues to serve the travel industry. We normally meet a minimum of 9 times a year not including our Holiday Party or our yearly planning meeting for the board. 
TIPY AWARD
Each year the STIA members nominate a person from within it's membership to be the Travel Industry Person of the Year. The nominee should be voted on because of his/her dedication to  STIA and it's membership and by their beliefs and actions of promoting education within this organization. The nominee must be a member if good standing within STIA for a minimum of 3 years and should be someone who you admire, promotes professionalism in the travel industry and deserves this recognition.
A committee reviews all nominees and recommendations are submitted to the STIA Board who will then select our Travel Industry Person of the Year.
The TIPY award winner is given a trophy and recognized at the annual Christmas Party. -
